Product Description:
Tapered button bit,also known as taper drill bit, is a drilling
tool which has a wide applications such as mines, tunnels, and
construction engineering. Its design is mainly for drilling holes
in rock drilling and blasting operations, usually in conjunction
with handheld or mechanical rock drills.
Tapered button bit is mainly used with pneumatic rock drill and
tapered drill rod, and it conducts drilling operations through the
connection of the taper on the drill bit and drill rod. The tapered
button bits are suitable for hard rock drilling and are mainly used
in mine secondary crushing, bolting, drifting and other fields. As
an upgraded product of the chisel drill bits and cross drill bits,
the tapered button bits have good drilling effect and long service
life due to the tungsten carbide tips and the hot-plated skirts.
Conventional taper angles for tapered drill bits are 7°, 11° and
12°.
Features:
Tapered interface: The interface part of the drill bit is conical,
which allows the drill bit connect with drill rod firmly . It
greatly reduce looseness during the drilling process.
High strength materials: Since the drill bit needs to drill holes
in hard rock, it usually use high-strength alloy steel.
Moreover,heat-treated treatment of drill bits will improve wear
resistance and strength.
Impact resistance: The button bits need to withstand high-intensity
impact and vibration during rock drilling. Therefore,their design
must have sufficient impact resistance to ensure stability in high
load working environment.
